As our reach expands globally, we’re seeking a Compliance & Trade Specialist to ensure we operate with integrity, accountability, and excellence at every checkpoint.

The Role:
The Compliance & Trade Specialist will oversee regulatory compliance and trade policy across all aspects of our supply chain, particularly in customs, labeling, international agreements, and import/export practices. You’ll ensure we meet legal standards while protecting our brand, optimizing operations, and expanding our distribution footprint across regions and borders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with U.S. and international trade regulations, including CBP, USDA, FDA, and local Caribbean authorities
  • Monitor, interpret, and apply changes in import/export rules, tariffs, and trade policies
  • Review and approve commercial invoices, shipping documentation, and customs declarations
  • Maintain accurate classification of goods (HTS codes), valuations, and country-of-origin documentation
  • Advise internal teams on compliance risks, labeling requirements, and regulatory documentation
  • Manage relationships with customs brokers, trade attorneys, and government agencies
  • Support audits, filings, certifications, and inspections (e.g., FDA, CTPAT, HACCP)
  • Educate internal departments on trade compliance best practices and risk mitigation

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years experience in trade compliance, international logistics, or regulatory affairs
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. import/export law, trade agreements, and food safety regulations
  • Strong understanding of HTS codes, incoterms, COO, and documentation requirements
  • Experience working with food, CPG, or culturally rooted consumer goods (preferred)
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Bonus: Familiarity with Caribbean trade regulations and multilingual capabilities (Spanish, Creole)

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary with compliance-based performance incentives
  • Remote flexibility and opportunities for international impact
  • A values-led company with a mission rooted in culture and global growth
  • A seat at the table as we scale internationally and expand our regulatory footprint
