The Role:
As the Distribution Center Manager, you’ll lead the heart of our logistics operation. From inventory control and shipping to staff management and vendor coordination, you’ll ensure our distribution hub operates efficiently, safely, and in line with company values. This role is essential to scaling our mission and fulfilling the promises we make to customers and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the distribution center, including receiving, warehousing, order fulfillment, and shipping
- Manage warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation
- Ensure inventory accuracy through regular audits and tracking systems
- Coordinate with procurement, sales, and logistics teams to meet delivery timelines and customer expectations
- Maintain compliance with safety standards, equipment maintenance, and cleanliness protocols
- Optimize warehouse layout, workflow, and technology for increased efficiency
- Monitor KPIs and provide regular operational reports to leadership
- Serve as primary contact for carrier relations and freight partners
Qualifications:
- 4+ years experience in warehouse, logistics, or distribution center management
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with a hands-on management style
- Familiarity with inventory management software and warehouse operations tools
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and warehouse safety compliance
- Ability to manage tight deadlines, multiple priorities, and large inventory volumes
- Bonus: Experience in food or CPG distribution and/or regional knowledge of the Caribbean
