As we grow, we’re seeking a skilled Procurement Officer to lead sourcing efforts and build lasting supplier relationships that align with our mission and standards.
The Role:
The Procurement Officer will oversee the end-to-end process of sourcing raw materials, packaging, and finished goods for distribution. You’ll work directly with vendors, manage inventory needs, negotiate pricing, and ensure that every item we offer reflects our commitment to quality, affordability, and cultural care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate suppliers for goods, packaging, materials, and equipment
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to optimize cost and quality
- Monitor and forecast inventory levels in collaboration with sales and logistics teams
- Manage purchase orders, delivery timelines, and vendor compliance
- Build and maintain strong, ethical relationships with local and international suppliers
- Research and recommend alternative materials or vendors as needed
- Ensure all purchases meet regulatory and safety standards for import/export and consumer goods
Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, or sourcing (preferably in food, CPG, or manufacturing)
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
- Familiarity with purchasing software, Excel/Google Sheets, and supply chain workflows
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple vendors and deadlines under tight timelines
- Bonus: Experience sourcing within Caribbean or Latin American markets
